Supplies Needed to Do-It-Yourself
- Paint Brush
- Drop Cloth
- Plastic Cover To Protect Gas Logs From Paint (or remove the logs)
- Rag to Wipe Inside of Fireplace
- Fireplace Stain
We highly suggest before painting firebox to have the fireplace inspected/cleaned by a professional to ensure saftey of fireplace.
Shake can vigorously for 30 seconds. Apply stain with a bristle brush. Wait 15 minutes and apply a second coat if a darker appearance is desired. Some colors may require 3-4 coats to obtain an opaque look. Please allow 24 hours to completely dry. The wet color of the stain is not indicative of the end result color. Rubbing dry “stained” firebrick with a damp sponge creates a more washed effect. Stains colors may be mixed. Applied color may vary depending on the condition of fireplace.
